Within a few days of submitting the FAFSA online, you should receive an email linking to your Student Aid Report (SAR), which is the information that the financial aid office staff at your school(s) uses to determine your financial aid package. This report states your EFC and restates what you put on the FAFSA. The schools you listed on your FAFSA will appear on the SAR, and those schools will receive your SAR information electronically. Review the SAR carefully to make sure it is correct and complete. If corrections are necessary or additional information is required, update and submit the form. If no corrections need to be made, keep this form for your records.
