As the world continues to abide by stay-at-home and safer-at-home orders, we want to let you know about some free college, career, and financial literacy resources that you can access from the safety of your home to help you plan for your future.
 

Free 360° Virtual Tours

Has your campus tour trips been delayed due to COVID-19 concerns? eCampusTours features 360° x 360° virtual tours of over 1,300 college campuses. From dorm rooms to classrooms, these tours allow you to see what college life is really like. If you like what you see in the virtual campus tour, you can search the college website, contact the college's admission office, or save the virtual college tour in your eCampusTours profile. (Note: Account registration is only required in order to save a tour to your profile, not for viewing the tours.)
 

Free Financial Literacy Resources

In response to the extensive shutdown of schools, EVERFI has made available a new Family Portal that will allow parents and students to receive direct access to our library of 20+ digital courses for K-12 students for a limited time.
 
At a time when parents are struggling to balance work, childcare and taking on the mantle of teaching, EVERFI has created a solution to support families by providing quality educational content on life's most critical topics, including financial readiness, mental wellness, digital wellness, career exploration, prescription drug safety, and many more.
 
Signing up for this content is easy! Here are the four steps you need to take:
  • Visit the EVERFI Family Portal
  • Select your state
  • Select your child's school name
  • Receive the full catalog of age-appropriate courses for your child

Free College, Career, and Financial Literacy Videos

Student Outreach Services from Edsouth has made videos of their college, career, and financial literacy presentations, which they offer to students across the state of Tennessee. Some state-specific information is included in these videos, but they are still a great resource for any student. Topics include: 
  • What Do I Want to Be When I Grow Up – educates K-2 and 3-5 students about the importance of making the most of their education and the many differences in career choices
  • Transitioning into Middle School – assists students to recognize the many changes that moving into middle school has as well as how to make the most of these important years
  • Transitioning into High School – outlines differences between middle and high school to achieve long-term college and career goals
  • Making the Most of High School – emphasizes the importance of maximizing opportunities throughout high school to plan for a successful experience after graduation
  • College and Career Overview for Juniors – offers an overview of college admissions, career planning, and financial aid information
  • High School Seniors: How to Plan and Pay for College – provides in-depth coverage of financial aid application and qualification requirements and available state and federal resources
  • Searching for Scholarships – gives students direction on where to start the scholarship process, how to find available scholarships, and how to complete the applications most effectively
  • Life After High School – highlights practical life skills necessary for entering the working world or college environment
  • Financial Literacy – promotes responsible financial habits, including saving money, managing savings and checking accounts, budgeting, etc.
  • You're Hired! – advises how to get (and keep!) a job through interview skills, knowing what questions to ask, office etiquette, how to dress, etc.
  • Career & Technical Education – explains the 9 aspects of industry and the importance of each
     

Free Digital Learning Resources

ACT is offering digital learning and workforce resources to assist students, parents, educators, schools, and workers impacted by COVID-19. To help students keep their college readiness skills sharp when many schools are closed, College Board and Khan Academy® will continue to provide free resources online, including full-length practice tests and personalized learning tools.
